What’s the status of my application?

To check the status of all your applications, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit our Careers Site and select View Open Positions
  2. Select the Manage profile icon at the top right of the page (icon shaped like a person)
  3. Provide the email address you created your profile under and select Send Email
  4. Provide the one-time passcode sent to your email 
  5. All applications will be listed under the My Applications tab
  6. Each active job application will be listed with its current status to the right

Please Note: Because each position has many applicants, requires many steps to fill, and includes multiple people collaborating to fill a role, we can't predict how long an application may take to review or how long a position may take to fill. Our recruiters review every application submitted and will contact you directly if your application is selected to move forward. Why can’t I find a previously posted position on your website?

Due to our constantly rotating job postings and their limited open periods, it’s easy to miss an application window. Once a position’s application window is closed, no additional applications are accepted—including emailed resumes. As stated in each Job Description’s Disclaimer section: job postings are subject to close early or extend out longer than the anticipated closing date at the hiring team’s discretion. Because we cannot predict when these changes will occur, we recommend that candidates apply as soon as possible.

I’ve followed a link to your site from another jobs site but cannot find the job now. Why can’t I find the position?

All our positions listed on external job boards are posted and removed by systems owned by the job board themselves. Unfortunately, this can mean that there are delays in removing positions that are no longer open. It’s recommended to always confirm a position is open on our Careers Site directly. If it's not listed there, then the position is no longer open for applications—including emailed resumes.

Can I email my resume instead of applying through the Careers Site?

Due to our volume of applicants and required application screening questions, we don’t accept emailed resume submissions. You’ll need to visit our website, Navy Federal Careers, and submit an application. You can attach your resume during the application process.

If no open positions appeal to you, feel free to sign up for our Talent Community. Talent Community is a searchable repository of our candidates and their resumes that our talent scouts and recruiters use to source talent.

How do I update my resume for a job I’ve already applied to?

Unfortunately, our application system only allows you to update the resume stored in your profile, not for any applications that you’ve already submitted. Due to our volume of applicants and required screening questions, we don’t accept emailed resume submissions.  

However, we recommend the following options:

  • Withdraw your current application and re-apply (if the position is still open for applications).
  • Mention that you have an updated resume to your recruiter if you’re contacted for follow-up questions. It’s up to recruiter discretion if they choose to accept an updated resume.

If you wish to update the resume on your profile, please follow the below steps:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Select Info and Alerts
  3. Select Edit Personal Information
  4. Make the desired updates
  5. Select Update to save the changes

Do you offer remote/telework positions?

Only certain positions at Navy Federal are eligible for full-time remote work. These positions will be searchable as “Remote” on the Careers Site. As a rule, Navy Federal only offers remote/telework positions based on business need. We cannot forecast where and when these positions will open. We recommend you check our Careers Site regularly, so you don't miss a posted position you’re qualified for and are interested in.

Do you offer internships?

Yes. Navy Federal offers multiple types of internships listed below. These are paid positions but aren’t eligible for medical/dental benefits. To be eligible for an internship, candidates must have graduated from high school (or possess a GED), be a minimum of 18 years old, and must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university.

Open intern positions are listed on the Navy Federal Careers Site and candidates must submit their application there.

Interns may be eligible for program extension (at the discretion of current leadership) and full-time opportunities after their contracted internship is complete. However, program completion doesn’t guarantee a full-time position. 

Year-Round Intern Program

These positions offer flexible scheduling to ensure schoolwork isn’t affected. On average, year-round interns tend to work between 20-25 hours per week during their school semesters, while some are available to work more hours during their summer and winter periods due to their minimum class load.

Summer Associate Program

Candidates interested in applying for a Summer Associate job must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university.

The application window for the Summer Associate Program runs during the fall semester. These positions are full time for a duration of 10-12 weeks over the summer months. These interns are expected to complete a project specific to their position and present their findings upon completion of their program.

I’m having technical difficulties with your application site. Can you provide assistance?

Unfortunately, Talent Acquisition does not own the Careers Site and is unable to provide technical assistance. 

We can suggest the following tips that usually help resolve normal issues:

  • Try clearing your internet cache
  • Try using the most recent version of Internet Explorer if not already using it

  • Try using a different computer
  • Try waiting 24 hours for any system glitches to be resolved

My resume is not uploading in an application. Can you provide assistance?

We've found that the majority of resume upload issues are a result of trying to upload an incompatible file type. Please ensure your resume is in a standard file format such as a Word or PDF document. Resumes saved as an image or that contain minimal text will not be recognized by the system in the upload process.

I can’t find a certification I have in your pre-populated list of options. How do I notify you of it?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to edit the prepopulated list of available certifications provided by the site vendor. Our recruiters are aware that not every certification is an option. As long as all active certifications are listed on your resume, they’ll be counted as part of your qualifications.

How does an employee refer me for a position?

If you meet the minimum job qualifications and have a Navy Federal employee that would like to refer you, they’ll need to find the job internally and send a referral link directly to your profile email address.

We understand it can be frustrating not being selected for a role that you’ve applied to, and while we cannot speak specifically to why you were not selected for a specific role, we do recommend following the below tips to make yourself more competitive in packages:

How can I get technical assistance with my Infor assessment?

How do I know if I’ve passed or failed the assessment?

Infor is a behavioral assessment with preset criteria to determine your best fit for multiple member service positions within Navy Federal. It's not pass/fail, and is just one of the many data points taken into account when a hiring manager is selecting candidates to move further in the recruiting process.

I’ve applied for multiple positions among departments (e.g. Branch Operations, Contact Center Operations, Collections, etc.). Is the assessment different for each department? 

No, the assessment is the same for all Branch, Collections and Contact Center positions, and the results are valid for one year. You’ll still need to follow the link each time it’s sent and sign into the system; however, you’ll receive a notice that you’ve already completed the assessment. This is the indication that the Infor system will automatically update your application with us to a completed status.

I’ve received multiple emails to take an assessment, but I already completed it once. Do I have to take it again?

An automated email is sent every time a candidate applies to a Branch Operations Member Service Representative (MSR), Contact Center Operations MSR and/or Delinquency Control Counselor position. This will cause duplicate messages and emails with a link to the Infor system to be generated.

You’ll still need to follow the link each time you submit a new application and sign in to the system; however, you’ll receive a notice that you’ve already completed the assessment. This is the indication that the system will update your application with the completed status.
