Setting Up Paperless Statements for a Minor

Accounts for minors (ages 0-17) can switch to paperless statements. Follow the steps below:

For minors ages 0-17:

  1. The adult joint owner must download and complete the Minor Membership Application and Change Information (NFCU 97MI) form to become a Trusted User and select Enroll in Electronic Statements on behalf of the minor: Download Form.
  2. Be sure to select Add/Change Trusted User at the top of the form and complete all applicable sections (especially Section D), sign and return via email, eMessage, fax or by visiting your local branch. This will automatically enroll the minor’s Combined Checking & Savings statements in paperless delivery.

Note: Once the form is completed and returned, it may take one complete cycle for paper statements to stop.

For minors ages 14-17:

  1. The minor account owner can download and complete the Minor Membership Application and Change Information (NFCU 97MI) form to enroll in Mobile and Online Banking: Download Form. This option allows the minor account holder to access their accounts via Mobile and Online Banking where they can update their Paperless Delivery Preferences themselves.

Note: Once the form is completed and returned, it may take one complete cycle for paper statements to stop.

If the minor has multiple accounts with different joint owners, trusted user access won’t be granted. For paperless delivery of a minor’s Combined Certificates & IRAs Statements, the minor (ages 14-17) or trusted user must self-select this option via Mobile or Online Banking.
