A Place for Connection and Recreation

Our Recreation Center in Pensacola, Florida is an expansive space designed to promote health and wellness for Navy Federal team members and our local community.

We're excited to welcome you to the Navy Federal Recreation Center!

Enjoy walking paths, athletic fields and courts, a yoga lawn, fitness equipment and a pavilion spanning over 28 acres. Some amenities are first come, first served, while others are available to reserve online. Select your area of interest below to learn more.

Recreation Center Reservation Guidelines

Recreation Center Features

The Pavilion is an open-air, covered space centrally located within the Recreation Center. This space can support a wide range of events, with several picnic tables and additional areas for conversational seating.

Amenities include:

  • Restrooms
  • Water fountains with a bottle filler
  • Electrical outlets for convenient power and charging access

The Multipurpose Field is a real turf grass field designed to support 7v7 soccer, flag football and youth softball/kickball. Sports lighting surrounds the outside perimeter of the field, along with dugouts and bleachers.

The basketball court is a high school-sized court, measuring 84' x 50', with a viewing deck and shaded seating shared with the volleyball court.

The volleyball court is a regulation-sized, recreation sand court measuring 60' x 30', with a viewing deck and shaded seating shared with the basketball court.

The 2 pickleball courts are each regulation size at 60' x 30' and are located just north of the multipurpose field. Sports lighting for evening use will be available in January 2024.

The fitness court has a variety of exercise equipment for all fitness levels, with artificial turf and benches with shade structures. Equipment in this area has been thoughtfully chosen and curated for your experience.

Available exercise equipment in this area includes:

  • Flying rings
  • Medicine ball throw
  • Battle ropes
  • Rope wall
  • Jumper
  • Monkey bars
  • Back & abs
  • Pull ups
  • Dips
  • Boxes: small, medium and large
  • Barbells: small, medium and large

The yoga lawn provides space for individual and group yoga sessions or mindful meditation. Overlooking the pond and surrounded by beautiful landscaping, this space offers shaded seating for an ideal place to sit or stretch and take a break.

The Informal Lawn is the largest open area on the site, surrounded by the Multipurpose Field, Pavilion, pond and walking paths. The Informal Lawn allows for flexibility for activities such as a game of catch, cornhole or anything that requires extra open space.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Yes, our reservation system is available and accessible here. Most areas, such as the pavilion and athletic fields and courts, are available for reservations on evenings and weekends.

The Recreation Center is open 7 days a week from 6 am–9 pm.

Yes, the Recreation Center is now open to the public. All areas of the Recreation Center are available for public use during operating hours unless another party has reserved a space in advance. Evening and weekend reservations for specific spaces are available here

Food can be brought to the Recreation Center, but grilling, cooking, food trucks or open flames of any kind aren't permitted on-site.

Restrooms and water fountains are located under the pavilion.

Sports equipment isn't provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own.

Dogs are allowed in the recreation center, but aren't permitted on athletic fields, courts, fitness areas or artificial turf. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

To keep the spaces safe and clean for all our guests, please take advantage of the dog waste stations to pick up after your pet.
